“Aug. 18 was significant for 9-year-old Bella Tucker and her family. The South Londonderry Elementary School student was transferred from Boston’s Children’s Hospital to Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, also in Boston, to begin the second phase of her road to recovery. While Bella was settling into her new surroundings, a team of designers and construction specialists were adding the last truss to a 2,500-square-foot addition to the family’s Lantern Lane home.”

“As Bella Tucker entered a new phase of rehabilitation and moved from Children’s Hospital to Spaulding Rehab today, a very special “topping off” ceremony was held at her home. Supporters, workers, and friends gathered outside the home in an atmosphere that can only be described as amazing. The crowd watched and waited in awe as the final truss was raised, then broke into applause as it was settled into place. Many lingered, watching as the men carried roofing materials up ladders, or hammered away inside the third story of the addition.”
